Overview
Museum Heist is a stealth puzzle platformer made as a Year 1 school project with a team of 4. It was built within four months in Digipen using Digipen's in-house custom engine - Alpha Engine.
The thief is trying to escape the museum with the stolen artefact, but the detection lasers and security guards are deployed to stop the thief from escaping. The thief must avoid the security guards and use lasers, mirrors, and lenses to trigger sensors to open the doors. The thief gets caught if the alert level is too high or touches the security guard.
For this project, I worked on the laser tech, the mirror reflection and lens refraction mechanics, as well as the trigger system (i.e. pressing a switch causes something to activate). I also designed the third level of this game and integrated FMOD into the engine.
